Well, what a week of fun-filled community events we’ve had!

Love Reigate Market

On Saturday 23rd April, we attended the Love Reigate Market event in Tunnel Road, Reigate. This was the third event of its kind that we’ve showcased at, and so much has changed for Live Love Perform since the we were at the first one, 10 months ago!

We met many local parents (and their talented children) to discuss how and why Live Love Perform are disrupting the status quo of dance school offerings in the local area. We had a huge amount of interest in our dance classes (especially our Street Dance classes); it’s always very humbling for me to speak to prospective students about what Live Love Perform offers, and how we differ from other schools.

Dance Sessions

We organised a free-to-try taster dance session at 11:30am, where passers-by could try some fresh and funky dance moves with us. It was great to see everyone taking part, and seeing lots of smiles - from children and their parents alike!

At 1:30pm we put on a special performance from some of our very talented Street Dance students just outside Reigate Tunnel. They showed off a routine they had been practising in recent classes, as well as adding their own freestyle! It was so much fun to see our students putting on a literal street dance right in the heart of the town centre! Well done to everyone who took part; you all did so well!

Dance In The Park

Our first Dance In The Park (held at Meadowbank Park, Dorking) session took place last Thursday. The event is the first of four free events (the others taking place on 5th May, 16th June, and 23rd June) where anyone can turn up and participate, regardless of age, ability/experience. Our mission at Live Love Perform is to make the joy of dance accessible to everyone, and this is one of our initiatives to make that happen.

We had a fantastic attendance, meeting lots of really talented dancers from all age ranges and abilities. If you were there, you would’ve also met Ivy, our newest Dance Teacher; we are so excited to welcome Ivy into the Live Love Perform team!

As I’ve mentioned, our next Dance In The Park event is 5th May at Meadowbank Park. We look forward to seeing you all there!
